I’m Lol Bailey, a Sheffield-based music artist with a passion for creating honest, energetic, and meaningful music. Having previously performed as part of the band Shabbah, I’ve developed my sound through years of live shows up and down the country, studio work, and collaboration.

My music blends raw emotion with strong melodies, drawing inspiration from real life, personal experiences, and the people around me. Whether performing live or recording new material, my focus is always on connecting with listeners and delivering something authentic.

I'm currently studying for a degree at WaterBear College in Songwriting. It's helping me refine my craft, develop stronger storytelling, and bring more intention to each melody and lyric.

Shabbah

Before my solo era, I performed with the Sheffield indie/alt rock band Shabbah. Those years sharpened my writing and stagecraft through constant rehearsals, studio sessions, and live shows across the UK.

We toured, built our set from the ground up, and learned how to hold a room. That raw, energetic live reputation still feeds my solo material, bringing urgency and connection to every performance.

I carry the best of those years into my current work — the grit, the teamwork, and the love of playing songs night after night.

I run On A Friday Records to help local artists share their work, get it distributed, and build momentum. It’s a space for honest releases and a community that backs new voices from the city.
